Playbooks for movers

There is no single best moving company software. There is the best fit for how your company runs and what is holding it back right now. A three-truck local mover with gaps in the calendar needs something very different from a moving and storage company with a warehouse and interstate tariffs.

This guide sorts the options into four groups, gives a short profile of six moving CRMs based only on their own websites (checked October 10, 2026), and ends with a step-by-step way to choose and the questions to ask in every demo.

A note on fairness

LeadKeet is one of the options in this guide, so we kept every profile to facts each company publishes on its own site. Where another product is the better choice, we say so plainly.

What kinds of moving company software are there?

Most tools fall into one of four groups. Decide which group you need before you compare brands, because tools in different groups solve different problems. Comparing a warehouse system with a lead service is like comparing a forklift with a billboard.

1. Moving CRMs and operations software

Software built to run a moving company from the inside: leads, estimates, dispatch, crews, billing, and often storage, payroll and tariffs. SmartMoving, Supermove, MoveitPro, Movegistics, Elromco and Moverbase all sit here. You or your office team operate the software every day.

Pick this group if your pain is running the work: double-booked trucks, paper bills of lading, storage billing in a spreadsheet, or crew pay worked out by hand.

2. Done-for-you growth systems

Instead of software you operate, a growth system does the work that brings jobs in: your website, local town pages, Google Business Profile upkeep, posting, answering calls and texts, and booking. LeadKeet is in this group. It is not a back-office CRM. It fills the calendar, and many movers pair it with a CRM.

Pick this group if your pain is not enough booked jobs: a quiet calendar, missed calls, no time to market and a website that does not bring in quotes.

3. General field-service tools

Tools like Jobber and Housecall Pro serve many home service trades with scheduling, quotes and invoicing. A simple local mover can get by with one. Because they serve many trades, check whether they cover moving-specific needs such as inventories, valuation and bills of lading before you commit.

4. Lead marketplaces

Sites that sell moving leads, usually per lead. They can fill a gap fast, but you pay whether the job books or not, and shared leads may go to several movers at once. They are a supplement, not a system. Our page on buying leads vs. your own covers the trade-offs, and the moving leads guide goes deeper.

Which moving CRMs are worth a look in 2026?

Here is a short profile of six moving CRMs. Every fact comes from the company’s own website as of October 10, 2026. Prices and plans change often, so confirm the details with each vendor before you decide.

5. SmartMoving

Who it fits: established residential movers that want sales, dispatch, storage, payments, payroll and reporting in one system.

What stands out: two plans. Smart Growth includes 3 office users and 3 Crew App licenses. Smart Pro includes 10 office users and 50 Crew App licenses and adds tools for repeat customers, negotiated rates and multi-job projects. AI call answering (Smart Scout), marketing campaigns (Smart Marketing) and review tools (Smart Reputation) are optional add-ons. Onboarding is described as a 90-day guided process, and their FAQ says most customers are fully onboarded in 3 weeks.

Pricing: not published. You get a price after a demo. Our LeadKeet vs. SmartMoving page and the SmartMoving alternatives guide go deeper.

6. Supermove

Who it fits: household goods movers and commercial office and industrial movers that want AI across sales, operations and finance, often with a sales team or call center.

What stands out: separate office, crew, estimator and storage apps, plus Supermove Payments. The AI line-up includes AI Voice Agents that answer and qualify calls 24/7, an AI Sales Copilot and an Auto Dialer. It also covers long-distance dispatch, payroll with tips and commissions, QuickBooks sync, a tariff library and valuation coverage. Supermove says its AI tools can be live in a day and the full platform within a week, with help moving your data.

Pricing: not published. Their site offers a demo and a pricing request. See LeadKeet vs. Supermove.

7. MoveitPro (MoveitPro+)

Who it fits: movers with a sales team that want a CRM, a built-in phone system and AI call tools in one place, including storage and claims.

What stands out: a phone system built into the software, with call menus, ring groups, tracking numbers for ads, missed-call text-back, call coaching and an AI voice agent called Ava. A feature called Lead Lock rings your team when a web lead arrives, and an AI agent calls the lead if nobody picks up. There are also job profit reports, storage and claims management, and a referral and partner program. MoveitPro says most migrations finish in 24 to 72 hours, with same-day training.

Pricing: published through a calculator. Every plan includes 2 office admins and 1 branch. You pay for office users, extra branches ($50 a month each) and an optional crew Pro App ($20 per user a month). Their pricing page describes terms of 12, 24 or 36 months, with 15% off when the full term is paid up front, and calls, texts and AI are billed by usage. See LeadKeet vs. MoveitPro.

8. Movegistics

Who it fits: moving and storage companies, including interstate, international, commercial, designer and military moves, that want strong inventory and warehouse tools.

What stands out: AI virtual surveys (powered by HomeSurvey.ai) that turn a customer’s walkthrough video into an inventory, a move-day audit that compares the estimate with the actual load, QR code inventories and an interactive 2D warehouse. The Full CRM plan adds drag-and-drop dispatch, a crew app, payroll, invoicing and QuickBooks. Their pricing page says you can go live in 15 to 30 days with a dedicated onboarding manager.

Pricing: plan prices are not published. Their FAQ says pricing is tailored by the number of users. Texting is $50 per 1,000 messages. Plans are month to month or annual, with 30 days’ notice to cancel. See LeadKeet vs. Movegistics.

9. Elromco (MoveBoard)

Who it fits: local and long-distance movers that want a published price and no contract, from one location up to several branches.

What stands out: two plans with the same features. Storage, payroll, claims, long-distance tariffs and an AI assistant are included in both, and crew members are unlimited. A website build ($99 a month) and an AI Receptionist (prepaid by usage) are optional extras. There is no setup fee, it is month to month, and they offer a 30-day refund guarantee.

Pricing: published. Professional is $289 a month with 3 office users. Enterprise is $399 a month with unlimited office users, and extra branches are $99 a month each.

10. Moverbase

Who it fits: small and new movers that want simple, low-cost job management, with a free plan to try it.

What stands out: unlimited users on every plan, scheduling, e-signatures, price, inventory and supplies estimators, an embedded website form, and integrations with QuickBooks, Zapier, Stripe, Square and more than 15 lead providers. Setup and training are free.

Pricing: published. A free plan with 10 quotes or jobs a month, Mover Pro at $29 a month (20 jobs), Fleet at $99 a month (100 jobs) and Unlimited at $299 a month. Extra jobs cost $1.99 or $1.49 each on the smaller paid plans.

Where does a done-for-you system like LeadKeet fit?

Every CRM above helps you manage leads once they arrive. Some, like Supermove and MoveitPro, now answer those leads with AI too. But most moving CRMs do not build your website, keep your Google profile fresh or post your jobs online. If the phone is not ringing enough, better software for the calls you already get only goes so far.

LeadKeet is built for that front half of the business. It is one plan, $249 a month with $0 setup, month to month, and it includes:

What LeadKeet does not do

No storage or warehouse management, no interstate tariffs or weight-based pricing, no payroll, no multi-branch back office and no crew app. Crews get jobs by text. If you need those, keep or choose a moving CRM, and let LeadKeet fill its calendar.

Which software fits your type of moving business?

Start with how you run, not with feature lists. Here is how we would think about it, honestly, including where LeadKeet is not the answer.

11. Owner-operators and new movers (1 to 2 trucks)

You need jobs more than you need dispatch screens. A simple, low-cost tool can track your jobs, and a done-for-you system can bring the work in. Avoid signing up for a large CRM with a long onboarding before you have the volume to use it. Our moving company software guide walks through the basics.

12. Growing local movers (3 to 10 trucks)

This is where missed calls hurt most. If your calendar has gaps, start with lead flow: website, Google profile, reviews and fast answering. If dispatch is already chaos, add a CRM. Elromco and MoveitPro publish their pricing; ask SmartMoving, Supermove and Movegistics for quotes. Many movers in this range run a CRM and a growth system side by side.

13. Moving and storage companies

You need warehouse tools. Movegistics, Supermove, SmartMoving, MoveitPro and Elromco all list storage features on their sites. LeadKeet does not do storage, so pair it with one of them if you also want help filling the calendar.

14. Long-distance and interstate movers

You need tariffs, weight or volume pricing and long-distance dispatch. Movegistics supports interstate tariff uploads and van line tariffs through an integration, Supermove has a tariff library, and Elromco lists long-distance tariffs. A full moving CRM is the right core tool here, and LeadKeet is not built for it.

15. Multi-branch operators and call centers

Look closely at user counts, branch pricing and AI call tools. Supermove and MoveitPro both put a lot of focus on AI for sales teams. SmartMoving’s Smart Pro plan includes 10 office users and 50 Crew App licenses, and Elromco’s Enterprise plan includes unlimited office users with extra branches at $99 a month each.

What does moving company software cost?

Pricing is where these tools differ most. Some publish it on their website. Others give you a number only after a demo.

  • Published: Elromco MoveBoard ($289 or $399 a month), Moverbase (free up to $299 a month), MoveitPro (a calculator based on office users, on 12 to 36 month terms) and LeadKeet ($249 a month, one plan).
  • Not published: SmartMoving (price after a demo), Supermove (pricing on request) and Movegistics (tailored by number of users, with texting at $50 per 1,000 messages).

When you compare, add up the full monthly cost for your team: users, crew licenses, branches, texting, AI usage and card fees. Then add what you already spend on a website, marketing and bought leads. A CRM organizes the jobs you have. A growth system is meant to bring in more of them. Hold each one against what one extra booked job a week is worth to you.

How do you choose, step by step?

Work through these steps in order. Most bad software decisions come from skipping the first one.

  1. Name your real bottleneck. Is it running the work (dispatch, storage, payroll) or getting enough booked jobs? Write it down before any demo.
  2. List your must-haves. Storage, tariffs, payroll, a crew app, number of office users, number of branches. Cross off any tool that cannot do them.
  3. Get the full price in writing. Users, crew licenses, branches, texting, AI usage, payment processing, setup and contract length.
  4. Check the time it takes. How long until you are live, and how many hours will you and your office spend on setup and training?
  5. Protect your website and rankings. If a vendor touches your site, page addresses should stay the same or redirect properly.
  6. Know how you leave. Can you export customers, jobs and documents? Is there a notice period or an early exit fee?
  7. Test with real leads. For a few weeks, track how fast leads get answered and how many book. That number decides it.

What should you ask in a demo?

Demos are built to show the best parts. These questions get you to the parts that matter for your business.

  • What is the total monthly cost for my team? Include office users, crew licenses, extra branches, texting, AI minutes and card fees.
  • Is there a contract, and how long is it? Ask about notice periods, early exit and annual prepay.
  • Which features are add-ons? With some vendors, AI call answering, reviews and marketing cost extra.
  • Who answers my leads at 9 p.m. on a Saturday? A person, an AI, or nobody?
  • How long until we are live, and what do you need from me?
  • Do you move my data for me, and is that free?
  • Does it build or change my website? If so, what happens to my Google rankings?
  • What does my crew need to install and learn?
  • Can I export everything if I leave?
  • Can I talk to a mover my size who uses it today?

Questions, answered

What is the best moving company software?

It depends on your bottleneck. For running a complex operation with storage, tariffs and payroll, a full moving CRM such as SmartMoving, Supermove, MoveitPro, Movegistics or Elromco fits. For getting more booked jobs, a done-for-you growth system like LeadKeet fits. Many movers use one of each.

Which moving software publishes its prices?

As of October 10, 2026, Elromco, Moverbase and MoveitPro publish pricing on their sites, and LeadKeet is $249 a month. SmartMoving, Supermove and Movegistics do not publish plan prices; you get a quote after a demo or request.

Is LeadKeet a moving CRM?

No. LeadKeet does not do storage, interstate tariffs, payroll, a multi-branch back office or a crew app. It brings in leads, answers them 24/7 and books the job with estimates, e-sign and deposits. Many movers pair it with a CRM.

Can I use LeadKeet with my current moving software?

Yes. Keep your CRM for dispatch, storage or payroll, and use LeadKeet for the website, local pages, daily posts, lead answering and reviews.

What is the best moving software for a small moving company?

If you run one to three trucks and need more work, a low-cost job tool plus a growth system usually helps more than a large CRM. Moverbase has a free plan, Elromco publishes plans from $289 a month, and LeadKeet is $249 a month with the website and lead answering included.

How long does it take to switch moving software?

Timelines vary by vendor. MoveitPro says most migrations take 24 to 72 hours, Supermove says its full platform can run within a week, Movegistics says 15 to 30 days, and SmartMoving describes a 90-day guided onboarding with most customers fully onboarded in 3 weeks. LeadKeet builds your website and puts it live in under 2 hours after you finish the setup form.
