Packing Services

Packing Services in NYC, Down to the Last Glass

We pack New York apartments the way they need packing: dense, labeled and stackable, so boxes travel well down narrow stairs and up small elevators. Glasses and plates are wrapped one by one, clothes go from the closet straight into wardrobe boxes, and every box is marked with its room.

Choose full packing, the kitchen only, or just the fragile things, usually the day before the move. Text or chat for a reply in under a minute, or call (212) 555-0142.

Quick answer

How much do packing services cost in NYC?

Packing in New York usually adds $500 to $1,500 to a move, depending on the size of the home and how much of it we pack. Packing time is billed at our normal rate of $165 an hour for two packers, and materials are listed on the quote at a set price per item. Full packing covers wrapping, boxing, labeling and wardrobe boxes. We can quote it as one agreed price together with your move after a video walkthrough.

Typical job · Example pricesPacking a 1-bedroom usually adds $500–$700 in labor plus $100–$200 in materials. A kitchen on its own is often 2–3 hours. Larger homes are quoted after a video walkthrough.

Example reviews

They packed our whole kitchen in under three hours and every wine glass made it to the new apartment. Jordan double-boxed my grandmother’s china without me even asking.

Aisha M.Upper West Side · Example review

We got a text at 7:40 saying the crew was ten minutes out, and they rang the bell at 7:52. Our 2-bedroom on the 4th floor was empty by noon, and they still rebuilt the bed frame at the new place before leaving.

Sofia R.Park Slope · Example review

They quoted 3 to 4 hours for my studio, it took 3½, and the bill was exactly 3½ hours at the rate they gave me. No stair fee, no fuel charge, no mystery materials line. I’ve moved four times in this city and that’s a first.

Do you pack kitchens?

Yes, and it’s the room most people hand over. Plates, glasses and pans are wrapped one by one and boxed so they ride well up and down stairs.

Do you sell packing materials?

Yes. Boxes, wardrobe boxes, paper, tape and bubble wrap are priced per item on your quote, and we can drop them off before the day if you’d rather pack yourself.

Do you offer unpacking?

Yes. We can unpack, put things away in cupboards and take the empty boxes and paper with us, at the same hourly rate.

How long does packing take?

Two packers usually do a 1-bedroom in three to four hours and a 2-bedroom in most of a day. We put the expected time on your quote.

What if I’m not finished packing?

Tell us early. Our crews carry boxes and paper, so we can finish packing on the day at the same hourly rate instead of leaving things behind.

Can you pack art and TVs?

Yes. TVs go in padded TV boxes, and framed art and mirrors get corner protection and mirror cartons. Very valuable pieces can be crated; ask us for a quote.

Are the boxes you pack insured?

Yes. Everything we pack is covered by our $100,000 cargo cover per truck while it’s in our care.
